It’s hard to believe it’s almost that time of year – Valentines day.
The day of love.
I’m a little bit of a cynic when it comes to Valentines day – I’m half in the ‘you should do nice things all year’ camp and half in the ‘It’s nice to be appreciated with a gift’ camp.
It can be hard enough thinking of gift ideas if your loved one is notoriously difficult to buy for, let alone having the pressure of Valentines on you as well.
Nethertheless, here is a list of some Valentines Gifts ideas for the tech fan in your life!

Amazon Echo

I think everyone has heard of Alexa by now (what can’t she help with?!). I’m still a little nervous to have one in our house with a chatty three year old around – I don’t fancy coming home to mountains of PlayDoh being delivered! If you are braver than me, Amazon Echo connects to Alexa – a cloud-based voice service-to play music, make calls, set alarms and timers, ask questions, check your calendar, weather, traffic and sports scores, manage to-do and shopping lists, control compatible smart home devices, and more.

Google Home Hub

See your life in one view, and get things done hands-free. Google Home Hub helps you make the most of moments at home. With Voice Match, get your calendar, commute, reminders and more right on the home screen. You can even get the news, make a shopping list, and place calls to friends, family and local businesses.

Apple Watch

I was lucky enough to be gift an Apple Watch for Christmas – I am not a watch person at all but I have really enjoyed wearing it. Having call and message notifications has been great – especially if you work in an environment where you can’t always have your iPhone on you.

Kindle

I have to admit – I love my kindle. I was always sceptical because I love going shopping for a physical book. My mind was quickly changed when I went on holiday for two weeks and lugged numerous books along with me (and then read them too quickly and had nothing left to read!).

Fitbit Alta HR

Automatically track your steps, distance, calories burned and active minutes with the Fitbit Alta HR. Obviously this might not be the best gift if your other half isn’t really into fitness – if they are then this would be a great addition!

Amazon Firestick

Give the gift of tv (I would love this) – With access to Amazon Video, Netflix, Curzon Home Cinema, All 4, ITV Player, BBC iPlayer, YouTube and more, there are tens of thousands of TV episodes and movies ready to stream.

Amazon Prime Membership

It might seem a bit of an odd gift but who wouldn’t want free next day delivery for a year from Amazon?! There’s a ton of other benefits too which you can read all about here.
